Baptism
Baptism
At CFMC, we believe baptism is a public declaration of an inward transformation through Jesus Christ. The death of the old life Burial with Christ Resurrection into new life through Him We believe baptism is for those who have personally made the decision to follow Jesus Christ and desire to publicly identify with Him.
Baptism does not save us, but it is an act of obedience that follows salvation. It is a powerful testimony that a person has repented of sin, placed their faith in Jesus, and has been made new in Him.
We practice baptism by full immersion in water, following the example of Jesus and the pattern found throughout Scripture. Baptism symbolizes:
Key Scriptures Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12
What To Expect During a baptism service, each person being baptized will have the opportunity to publicly profess their faith in Jesus before being immersed in water by one of our ministry leaders. We celebrate baptism as a joyful moment of obedience, transformation, and new beginnings.
